Seller good, tank so-so
The seller "Buy-It-Now-Store" performed well, shipped promptly, and provided tracking information (on request). The tank was shipped via FedEx to a local Postal Center and the last mile was done by USPS. The USPS tracking number provided information at the FedEx web site and the USPS site (once the package reached USPS). I mention the seller by name because Amazon tends to put these reviews in different places.

The tank came with a molding flaw that inhibited the mechanism that locks the tank onto the shampooer. The top handle of the tank has the locking tab and a plastic spring mechanism that pushes the handle and locking tab up into the mating recess in the shampooer. Part of this spring needs to slide a little bit along the top edges of the tank as the handle is depressed and springs back. The area of travel crosses a part of the tank where separate mold pieces came together. My tank had something sticking out at this point; it effectively prevented the handle from springing up. I was able to quickly whittle and sand the bump down to the point where the handle worked freely. I did not contact the seller about this problem.

I like this newer version of this tank. Plastic is obviously stronger than the previous tank. Was worth the money!!

Good replacement, but be aware!
Like many others the tank that came with the cleaner soon wore out around the valves. The replacement looks much more solid and sturdy, but haven't been able to use yet becasue... BE AWARE - mine did not ship with the handle, which is necessary for operation. Pop the handle off your old one, or be sure to order a replacement as well.

Better than original
The material seems better than the original and being one piece the solution tank can't separate for the main tank like the original. However it still leaks just as bad as the original, perhaps that is a design of the unit and not the solution/clean water tank.

Hoover Should have recalled this product in the first place
After reading the comments, I realize Hoover created this market by shipping a faulty product in the first place.........After receiving the new tank, I can see that this one will not crack.......... The Company from which I bought the new tank, claimed to be in stock, gave me a ship date of a few days out, and then didn't ship it until 7 days after that, and they never followed up.......... ( thank goodness it wasn't a heart for a heart transplant victim!!! )

I love this stuff! I highly recommend for hardwood and marmolieum floors. It makes them look like new. Its easy to use and last for months. Its the best thing ever!

LOVE IT!!!
I purchased this after researching wood floor cleaners/restorers on-line. Previously, I had tried Bona as reccommended by my father and was not impressed. Pro Shot on the other hand is ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY THE BEST FLOOR CLEANER I have ever tried. Only Pro Shot for my wood floors!!!!!

My husband and I bought this house with hardwood floors; the prevoius owners left the floor wax that she used. I tried it loved it. Came time to renew again and I wasn't able to find it anywhere. So of corse I used something else Bona, OMG it made the floor ugly and cloudy. I went on line to look up the product and ordred 2!.

Works well enough but don't use for kitchen

I've had no problem with the automatic lid until we started to use it for the kitchen.

1) lid is very light as you might imagine since this is battery operated
2) with kitchen trash, lid can easily malfunction due to the high moisture content. taking the batteries out and drying the unit will help but that kind of defeats the purpose of something like this
3) unit is _NOT_ waterproof. so if your trash has a lot of liquid that seeps out through the trash bag, it will seep onto your floor.
4) lid is difficult to clean.
5) lid does get confused when it's being used heavily. e.g. a party where many people are throwing stuff away
6) when turning the unit on after turning it off, make sure nothing's in the way as it calibrates itself. otherwise lid will open and close incessantly with little rhyme or reason.
7) comes with an inner plastic ring that holds the bag in place. this ring is a bit flimsy and ours broke as I was taking it out one day - I guess I must have twisted or something.

But it does do what it says - touch free operation for the most part.

It has worked great for a year now- buying more for family...
We bought this model right about a year ago and it has worked like a charm from day one. It is by far the nicest trash can we have ever owned and at an awesome price! I think we paid for it last year and got a free iTouchless water faucet sensor with it (which is also a fantastic product for our bathroom by the way) so it really was a great deal. All of our family and friends comment on how much they love both of these products so I am now going to buy them for Christmas presents for family. By the way, we have not had to change the batteries yet so I am very impressed with that as well.

Touch-Free Stainless Steel 13-Gallon Trash Can
Our Purchase from SCROOGE & MARLEY was exactly as represented, and we were happy with the savings we received for the slightly marred trash can. We will definitely continue buying from Amazon.com and wouldn't hesitate to use SCROOGE & MARLEY again.

This is Garbage
Although I admire the ingenuity of hands-free design, in execution, this trash can is not worth the money and frustration you pay for. I must dissuade future buyers from considering this. While my 2007 unit worked for a year, it was never reliable. There were many, sporadic occasions when this trash can would open and close its lid repeatedly. And even replacing it with a fresh set of batteries did not alleviate this behavior. I can only make an educated guess that something related to moisture is triggering the infrared sensor, because it did not matter whether the light was turned on or off, there was nothing visible yet something was interfering with it.

Towards the end of its useful lifespan in 2008, the motor would not be able to lift the lid wide open, and it would not be able to shut it completely. This whittled away whatever was left of my tolerance and turned the mundane task of cleaning up into an exercise in frustration.

I urge everyone to avoid this and other shoddy iTouchless models which were conceived in great earnest but do not deliver an end-product that is worth your money and meets the claims of opening flawlessly 100,000 times

good stuff, but too expensive
I rated this only four stars because of the cost. I wish I knew what was in this stuff that makes it "safe" to use in the Scooba. I suspect it is something that costs about 79 cents a gallow, but they color it blue and charge you 12 bucks for it.

It DOES clean well. My floors were disgusting. However, unless your floors are absolutely filthy, stick with the vinegar and water. That does a bang up job, and a quart of vinegar at B000EINJXS.89 will last you forever.

Scooba Cleaner
I really like the product and have even ussed it without my scooba. It has a refreshing scent... cleans well.

Order carefully
When I purchased the iRobot Dirt Dog Workshop Robot, this cleaning solution was recommended as a product to use with the Dirt Dog. However, the Dirt Dog doesn't have a cleaning option so this solution was a wasted purchase. Be careful when ordering recommended products!

Great Product, Smells Good and Cleans without Streaks!
This cleaning solution is great. Before my Scooba, I was on the hunt for a product that would clean my floors without (literally) giving me a headache and without leaving streaks. I tried countless brands and spent lots of money. Many, many products gave me headaches, I'm not sure if it was the tons of fragrance or the chemicals overall. Also, many of them also left my laminate and marble floors with visible streaks. It drove me crazy! The Scooba cleaning solution has a very mild scent and doesn't leave streaks on my floors. It may seem pricey, I get about 20+ uses per bottle. (I don't always need to use the full 1.5 oz per use, I use about half of that when cleaning my smaller rooms.)

Having said all of this, the Scooba doesn't HAVE to take this solution, it could take plain white vinegar as well.

Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, if you shop around you could possibly find it for a lower price.

Does it's job as advertised.
This soap works well in the Roomba Scooba, and works far better than plain vinegar, which the documentation for the Roomba Scooba says is an option. This provides a good smell and leaves a great sheen on linolium. I can't say it makes wood shine, but my wood also needs polished.

Using plain water in the Scooba will leave you with a scooba that has no traction and will constantly tell you it is stuck.

The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish it was more concentrated, came in a smaller bottle and required less solution per cycle.

Great stuff!!
I am a breeder of Pembroke Welsh Corgi's and try as I might there is always an accident. Zorb has successfully removed stains and smells from my Oriental carpets. When I ran out I purchased again. Worth every penny.

Very disappointed.
I used this on my carpet - it is very easy to use, I followed the instructions, and other than being vacuumed, there is no noted difference. The stains/high traffic dirt are still there. Maybe it would work great on new carpet, but if your carpet is new, do you really need this?

JUST LOVEEEEE THIS STUFF USED IT ON MY COUCH AND LOVE SEAT PLUS THE CARPETS . WORKED GREAT SMELLS GREAT SIMPLY WILL NEVER GO BACK TO SHAMPOOING THE CARPETS AND FURNATURE.

I love this product. It leaves a very pleasant, light and fresh fragrance. Very easy to use.

Didn't do much for us
Used this today, wasn't expecting a miracle or anything, but wanted to refresh our carpets for a birthday party we're having in a day.

It totally reminds me of something that the employees I worked with in a warehouse that we called Red Dirt, which is a moist sawdust type of floor cleaner that's used primarily in rooms with cement floors, like warehouse shipping/receiving where there's a lot of dust or a lot of the outside dirt gets in. This product as well as the Red Dirt is a moist, grainy type of powder, which when moist is kinda clumpy. It's sprinkled from the bag onto the floors, but with Zorb it goes on carpets only, and then the vacuum is run over it to break it up and mash it into the rug fibers until it dries. The dirt and any residue that is in the carpet is supposed to attach itself to the granules, which then dry and are vacuumed up.

Its damp so it states on the package to let it dry for half an hour. I let mine go for nearly an hour and it was just to the point of almost dry but I didn't have more time to wait as we have an indoor cat and I had locked her in the bedroom until it dried throughout the whole experiment.

This only works with the Dyson vacuum, or so it says. I have the animal DC25 (which I love, love, love).

Vacuumed it up but honestly it didn't really make me go "I'M A FAN FOREVER". In fact, I kind of felt like a fool shelling out for this and won't be buying it again. It was kind of one of those things where I made a mess on the floor, only to work to clean it up again LOL

I used Zorb on the 8 x 10' low pile carpet in my daughter's room (why I bought a light blue rug for a 3 year old I'll never know) and the brown medium pile carpet in the rest of the house and didn't see a marked difference on either the entire carpet nor the stains that are on it.

I have sinus problems and the smell, although pleasant, gave me a headache. Bizarre, considering that the Dyson vacuum made by the company that also makes Zorb is "proven effective for asthma and allergy sufferers".
