I really love it!
I got one on clearance for 32 bucks,I read the reviews after I bought it. Since a lot of folks didn't like it, I was thinking maybe thats why it was on clearance because its a piece of junk. I tried it today and I just love it. No problems, no drips, no soaked floors. My seven year old vacuumed the floor. I did empty the dirt tank after vacuuming before I flipped it,which is probably a good idea if there is alot of stuff on the floor. I really like the idea of no bucket and mop or wet floors. My 12 and 13 will be doing the floor from now on.

Great for wet cleaning
I've had this for about 2 months now. I have ceramic tile and I think it gets my floors much cleaner than my old mop did. However, due to it's size it does not get in the little places. I love that my floors are practically dry as soon as I move to the next tiles to clean. Vaccum side is great on hardwood or tile, not so good on carpet. I have to drag my heavy machine out for the carpet and to get in the corners and behind furniture. Since we have a dog that sheds a lot I need to get in those places. Cleaning out the little container is kind of gross. The filter usually needs to be cleaned out at least once while I'm vacuuming. Overall, I love it for mopping.

Bissell Flip it, nothing to flip over
It leaks all over the place. It takes away the purpose of the item if you have to follow every where with a towel. You have to go over the floor 4 times to get a spot up! I sent mine back. Not worth the hassle. Much easier to get a mop and bucket out then towel down the floor.

Bissell floor cleaner
I really like this floor cleaner as I have six dogs living in y house , who go in and out of doors all the time. I have found that the sponge does get a little wet, so what I do after I have completed a floor ( especially on my Laminate flooring) , I just remove it add go over the floor with the Flip - it sans the sponge to vacuum up any leftover water.

My floors have never been this clean, with so little effort. it is light weight, easy to clean.

I'd Forget-it
To anyone thinking of purchasing the Bissell Flip-It, my recommendation is to Forget-It!! I just purchased one today about 1 hour ago. However, when I tried to use the dry vacuum side, the cleaning solution leaked out of the wet side. When I tried to use the wet side, the sprayer didn't work. The only thing that did work was the part to suck up the mess it created. After calling the customer service center and going through the trouble shooting, which included checking to see if water was in the tank, I was told where the nearest service center was located. I wish I would have read the reviews and saved some time. Needless to say, I'm on my way back to return it and get my money back.

Bissell Flip-Ease All in One Vacum and Mop
The vacum works just fine; however, as a mop, it drags especially for the elderly with no much strnght in their arms.

Greatest product since presliced ham!
I would like to state first that the Bissell solution that comes with it smells like a gingerly frolic through a citrus orchard, but works like grandmas old school mop that leaves streaks and spots. That out of the way, this product is AWESOME. We have wood floors and tile floors and this thing works "GRRRRRRRRRRREAT!" (that's a quote from Tony the Tiger) We have two toddlers that throw their food on the ground when they are done eating. This vacuums up on one side and then mops it up on the other. I have found that the 4 dollar gallon sized hard floor cleaning solution from Sam's Club (Proforce brand and pink in color) is the best solution ever. I use 1 teaspoon (not table spoon) per filling of the container and it dries fast with no streaks.

On another note the thing holds a good charge as we leave it off the charger for days at a time and it still works. You can't vacuum and spray solution at the same time, but who would?????

The unit is durable, one of our toddlers knocked it over 5 times a day for almost a year before it got a leak in the tank. I called them and it only cost 3 or 4 dollars to get a new tank. They sent a new one fast and were courteous.

My wife wanted to add the following:

Don't let your toddler play with it.
The end.

Works great
This is a good product for I want it for, which is a quick pick up for dog hair, crumbs, etc. I would recommend buying an extra set of the cleaning pads, as the pad does get dirty when using the vacuum side, and it is nice to change the pad to use the mop side. It does sometimes drip a few drips of liquid out, but it is really not much, and not a big deal at all. I would buy this again.

Mother's Little Helper
I love this Bissell's Flip-Ease! I have to admit that I was a little worried about pushing a machine around since I have back, neck, and shoulder problems, but this is very lightweight and just glides across the floor. The vacuum is incredible! It sucks up everything in its path - dust, dirt, cat hair, and even pine needles. This product does exactly what it promises. My only tiny complaint is that the red light never changes to indicate it's fully charged. After letting it charge, however,it held the charge for three days. This is the best purchase for household cleaning products that I've made in a very long time. Two thumbs up!

Great!
I have two babies who are extremely messy! I use this product every day on my ceramic floors (often more than once). It's so easy and affordable. My mom came to visit and she left saying "Where can I buy one of those" (not kidding).

It's not meant to suction up the water + cleaner expressed, but the pad soaks this up as you go over it and dries fast as a result. It actually dries faster than our standard mop(which is great when my son is whining to be let out of his high chair to crawl around on the floor).

Great product-I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

One more point . . . I used to own the swiffer wet jet, but found it cost too much to keep replacing the pads and use the cleaner fluid. This is cheaper (and I just use the hard wood floor cleaner we have on hand).

The Little Green compact carpet cleaner has multiple cleaning uses. It can be used to clean spots & stains on carpeting, upholstery, car interiors, stairs, and much more. It is lightweight at 12 lbs. and extremely easy to use. The clean and dirty water tanks are simple to fill and empty. The Little Green has a long 20 foot power cord and compact design (sits easily on a stair) so cleaning hard-to-reach areas is easy. The included Tough Stain Brush helps get out deep down dirt and stains.
Amazon.com:
If you have a white carpet you want to protect, the Little Green carpet cleaner should be stashed in your closet for emergency cleanups. This portable cleaner doesn’t replace regular carpet cleanings but is excellent for spot-cleaning carpets in the event of an accidental spill. The lightweight Little Green weighs only 13 pounds for easy traveling to rooms, staircases, or auto interiors to clean up a variety of messes, including pet stains, spilled food or drinks, and muddy footprints. In addition, the cleaner has a flexible vacuum hose and a long power cord that stretches to almost 15 feet long to provide ample reach along the stairs or in vehicles.

The Little Green’s stain-removing action is superior to store-bought chemical cleaners as it lifts the stain up with its suction before it sets in; other cleaners require you to rub the stain with a cloth and push it farther down into the carpet. The cleaner uses a combination of Bissell’s special deep cleaning formula and hot tap water to pre-treat stains. The solution tank is easy to remove and fill and slides back onto the unit with no problems. A wide and strong spray path spreads the cleaning formula over the stain and, after a little scrubbing with the stain brush tool (which fits on the end of the cleaner’s hose), the cleaner suctions up the stain and dries the carpet in one step. Dirty water collects in the back of the Little Green in another tank that is equally as easy to remove and rinse clean. This compact multipurpose cleaner is safe on most carpets and upholstery and stores easily in a closet or under a sink until it’s required for a spill. The Little Green comes with an 8-ounce sample of Bissell’s Little Green deep-cleaning formula and is covered by Bissell under a limited one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Works well, bad design.....
I have owned this machine for a number of years. My most recent use was today when I dumped two 2-liter bottles of water onto the carpet, under the Christmas tree, because I missed the correct hole in the tree stand. It's wonderful for this kind of spill. It will suck up enough of the water to enable the carpet (and pad) to dry out in a reasonable length of time. We've used it for pet stains over and over and I recommend getting the pet stain and odor soap that goes with it, for this purpose. We've always been happy with its performance for these types of jobs. That said, however, I totally agree with the reviews that say it gets disgustingly dirty and there is no way to clean it. It's a huge design flaw and I can't understand why they have not changed this. I have not had the odor problem that some others have complained about. I always leave soapy water in the clean section, though. I don't know if that would make a difference. I also completely rinse the dirty tank and where it leaks underneath, after each use.

If you can put up with this design flaw, you will be pleased with its performance. I can't actually imagine a home with children and pets, without one!

Broke after only 3 uses
This product worked great the first 3 times I used it. Now for some reason, the sprayer will not dispense any water. I can only use the suction part. Judging from other reviews, this seems to be a common flaw in this machine. Do not buy. Waste of money.

Every parent and pet owner must have this.
I've had this machine for about a year now. The machine literally paid for itself after two uses. This machine has cleaned red wine of white carpets, puppy messes on furniture (yes, it even cleaned my microfiber sofa), and the latest - tomato bisque regurgitated on said white carpet. Honestly, from a mom of three boys and the owner of a yet-to-be potty trained puppy - this machine is amazing.

makes everything smell
used this machine a few times at first, thought it was great. used it in my car and the smell it left in the car was so horrendous i couldnt drive it, it had to be professionally deodorized. then a few monthes later it did the same thing to my couch. absolute garbage.

Little Green Is The Best! A Must For All Pet Owners!
This little machine is indispensable. As the owner of two senior cocker spaniels need I say more!

Definitely not a Dyson
I bought this vacuum after reading mixed reviews. To say it's heavy is an understatement. It's extremely heavy. My Dyson (which I've had for years) I can lift by the handle and by the canister which also has a handle on it. Trying to lift the Bissell to get it up stairs or over the bottom rail of the kiddie gates which lays on the floor is impossible. The canister will come off immediately in my hand if I try to use it's handle along with the main handle. That means you can only lift it my the main handle (the thing you hold to push it) and now that keeps coming off in my hand too. I've also found it doesn't pick up very well on vinyl or laminate floors, especially the little chunks of kibble my bird throws on the floor. My dyson is much better at that. This vacuum is great on carpets though. Picks up the pile and crumbs and just about everything.
I wish I had saved my money and gotten a second dyson.

Sorry I bought it
They call this the "Healthy Home" vacuum. Ironically, I end up breathing in more dust with this thing than a bagged vacuum. The canister is very difficult to empty without reaching your hand up into it and pulling the dirt and debris out, and in the meantime, inhaling UNHEALTHY dust particles. I've found it's an exercise in breath holding, seeing if I can pull out all the gunk on one breath of air. Second, the latch on the bottom of the canister broke, so the whole lid comes off every time I empty it; it takes me about 3 minutes each emptying to get it realigned and back on. Third, the handle keeps getting misaligned, so that the vacuum turns off and I have to push the handle back together to get it to work. This happens 2-3 times every time I use it. Third, the on/off switch is placed in a position such that it gets easily bumped and will shut off. Fourth, it is top-heavy, so when I am using the attachment hose, the whole thing falls over on me-very annoying, and painful. Fifth, you have to buy a very expensive filter every year or so (and I thought I would be saving money on vacuum bags!). I would NOT buy this vacuum again! I will say that it does have powerful suction, but the suction it gets does not make up for all the hassles. So, this vacuum really SUCKS!

Great Suction, Bad durability
I owned this vacuum for 2 years before the motor broke down on me. I was really upset because up until this time it had incredible suction, though it ought to weighing in at 26 lbs! I would not recommend this to people who have a 2 story house cause it's terrible carrying up and down stairs. It was a great vacuum, but for 300$ I would have expected it to last longer. I bought a refurbished Hoover windtunnel from Big Lots for and I feel like I am getting the same clean. I would definitely rethink my purchase if I could do it all over again.

Big Disappointment
I bought this vacuum probably 2 years ago. I paid nearly 0 but I was very happy...AT FIRST. For the first year things were good. My complaints were that it was quite heavy and often tipped over (usually hitting me in the back) when I used the attachments. The canister was also a little messy to empty. But it really did a great job cleaning. And then it started to fall apart. First the brush seized up & would not rotate. It has some kind of internal belt, that cannot be changed like the standard vacs. I had to pay to buy a new brush and spend hours taking the thing apart and putting it all back together. A month later the self propel feature stopped working. Not the end of the world. But then the canister started falling apart piece by piece. And now the think is ducked taped and bungee strapped together while I shop for my next vac. The only thing I can guarantee is that I wont be purchasing another Bissell product.

Good when it is not broken.
This did great job while it worked. Suction was good, and it cleaned well, but the canister design was terrible. Had to really work to empty it. As far as malfunctions, First we had to replace the handle because the on off button wasnt working. Next the hose ripped and we were sent a replacement. Finally the brush started making funny sounds and smelling really bad, was told by Bissell that we would need to take it to an authorized dealer. We were not too into travelling far distances to make this happen so we just bought a Dyson.

Bissell Steam Mop
Love this item in every way. The only improvement that could be made is a longer cord.

BEST Cleaning "tool" I have found!!!
I asked and received this "mop" for Christmas and couldnt have been MORE pleased with it!! RARELY do I ask for ANYTHING that has to do with CLEANING for a present but when I saw the commercial for this product I just HAD to have it! I tried it out IMMEDIATELY (which came as a SHOCK to most of those who know and love me... even though I am not the BEST housekeeper in the world... LOL) and I love, Love, LOVE IT!! I have four kids so our floors are ALWAYS dirty. Spills and such EVERYWHERE! This item EASILY cleans any hard floors with EASE! All you do is fill up the water tank, plug it in, wait for it to heat up (which only takes about a minute or two) and then you are OFF! There is NO BETTER PRODUCT that I have found thus far for cleaning my floors! The BEST part is that it not only cleans but SANITIZES with absolutely NO CHEMICALS!!! Perfect! All my floors are clean in MINUTES! For those harder/ more "dried on" spills, you simply keep the mop over it for about 10 seconds and the mess is GONE! No longer will I EVER need to get down on my hands and knees (something VERY IMPORTANT since I have fibromyalgia) to scrub my floors! It comes with two "pads" that once dirty can be thrown in the washing machine and no more NASTY mops w/ buckets of water and cleaning supplies (and STILL I never felt as though my floors were REALLY clean)! I would recommend this product to ANYONE out there looking for a more efficiant/EASY way of cleaning your floors! Works especially well on tiles and since it uses VERY SMALL amounts of water, I have also found it works really well on Pergo (or pergo type) floors without worrying about warping! Honestely... its actually kind of FUN to use and I have NEVER used the words "cleaning" and "fun" together in a sentence! LOL My KIDS even WANT to clean the floors with it... although they need to be monitors since it DOES use steam which could burn if they tried to "touch" it! I would give this product an ENTHUSIATIC TWO THUMBS UP!! From one mommy to another.... this is a DEFINATE MUST for your household!!!

Stopped working just after warranty ended
I've owned the steam mop for just over a year. I loved this cleaner until it stopped working one day. It showed no signs of wear until it just stopped working. I will not be buying another Bissell

This steam mop really cleans!
I've been struggling with a 5-year old linoleum floor in my dad's house - to get it looking clean and sanitary has been impossible without getting down and dirty...until today. I bought myself one of these mops out of curiousity and after the first swipe, I knew I had a winner! I couldn't believe the dirt that this steam mop lifted out of the tiny grooves of the linoleum pattern (which was what was making the floor look dirty) - and in no time at all, I managed to get that floor cleaner than it's been since installation. I HIGHLY recommend this product for a fun and simple way of mopping. I do agree with other reviewers who advise to buy extra pads - I found that the more I lifted dirt and the wetter the steam got the pad, the more likely I was to leave streaks on each stroke. I resolved the problem by switching out pads when that started happening. End of cleaning - tossed in the washer and dryer and we're good to go in a couple of days. One of the best gadgets I've rewarded myself with in a long time.

Wife loves it
My wife asked me to order her a steam cleaner made by a different company and after reading reviews I talked her into the Bissell 1867 instead. After using it she just loves it. No more heating water to use with a cleaner and mop - just fill it with distilled water (to make the filter last longer) and go. She says it does a great job on our vinyl flooring around the house and leaves the floors smooth but not slippery like some of the other cleaning products can do. She tells me it is "highly recommended".
